My approach
I do not accept every case, but I always take responsibility for and put the energy required into the ones I accept. I am a tough opponent in court, but I never rule out the option of a settlement. I make no distinction between ‘small’ and ‘big’ cases and I have learned that ‘small’ cases will also attract the bigger ones.I respect my clients and I try to lay out every aspect of their case, knowing full well that collaboration and mutual understanding with one’s client is a prerequisite for success. I require payment for my services, but I am always equally concerned about keeping the trust of my clients. I do not see a client as an isolated case; instead, I wish to create and maintain a lasting relationship with them. Therefore, I will not hesitate to warn the client if the case has a small chance of success and to discourage them from engaging in litigation that is not in their interest. I always make sure our financial agreement is clear, and I am always in favour of a written agreement. My fees are commensurate with the nature of each case and, where the nature of the case so permits, I am willing to discuss a conditional fee based on the outcome.
Fields of practice
The law rules over social situations and social situations do not occur in isolation;
it is only normal that several aspects of the law will apply to each case.
I can identify the substance of each case, my speeches in court are convincing, my legal documents are comprehensive and well-thought-out and my perception is clear.
